
Bishop Christopher C. Brown, II.
Vice President
Bishop Christopher Brown, II is a lifelong member of the United Holy Church of America and a dedicated servant of God and His people. He is the grandson of the late Bishop J.D. Brown and the son of the late Elder Christopher Brown, Sr. and Gertie Mae Brown. He has been married to Diana Simms Brown for 42 years, and they have one son, Christopher Brown, III, and one grandson, Rohan Jaberi Brown.
Bishop Brown earned a Bachelor of Theology degree from United Christian College and later received an honorary Doctorate Degree in 2018 in recognition of his faithful service to the church. He is the owner and operator of Brown & Company Cabinet and Construction in Goldsboro, North Carolina, and is a retired Wayne County Public Schools bus driver.
He answered the call to ministry in June 1993 and was ordained in June 1994. He founded New Rising Sun United Holy Church in Goldsboro, North Carolina, where he served for 10 years. He also pastored Saint Stephen United Holy Church in Mount Olive, North Carolina, and has served as pastor of Holy Tabernacle United Holy Church in Roseboro, North Carolina, for more than 25 years.
Throughout his ministry, Bishop Brown has served the United Holy Church of America in numerous leadership capacities, including General Superintendent, District Elder, member of the Board of Presbytery and Trustee Board, and Vice President of the Cape Fear District Union. In 2020, he was elected Second Vice President of the Southern District Convocation and later served as First Assistant to the Bishop.
In October 2021, Bishop Brown was selected as a candidate for the office of Bishop. On April 28, 2022, he was consecrated to the episcopacy during the General Annual Convocation in Greensboro, North Carolina. He currently serves as Vice President of the Southern District Convocation in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
Bishop Brown's life and ministry are guided by his love for God, the church, and the people he serves. His motto is: “I don't want to be anybody great, but I want to be somebody that the Lord can use.”
